CHRISTIANSBURG, Va. (AP) -
A judge is giving Marcus Vick until Friday to produce documentation about his financial status.
Vick faces five days in jail if he doesn't comply with Circuit Court Judge Brett Geisler's ruling.
Geisler issued the ruling Monday in a civil case in Montgomery County Circuit Court. The Carroll County judge was brought in to hear the case.
Plaintiff Barbara Ferguson's attorney, Kris Olin, tells The Roanoke Times that Vick signed a $40,000 promissory note in September 2008 but hasn't paid anything.
Vick's lawyer, Jimmy Turk, says he expects his client to comply with the order.
Vick is the younger brother of Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. He was dropped from the Virginia Tech team in 2006 and released from the Miami Dolphins a year later.
