Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20. A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County. The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

Funeral arrangements have been set for a Greenbrier County coal miner who was killed in an accident on Friday, Nov. 30.
Steven O'Dell of Mount Nebo was killed when he was caught between a continuous miner and a scoop. He worked at the White Buck Coal Company Pocahontas Mine A in Rupert as an electrician.
Visitation is set for 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 4 at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Chapel in Rainelle. A private funeral will be held later.
The family is asking that people make donations to a trust fund set up at BB&T bank rather than send flowers.. That money will go to the O'Dells first child who is expected this month.
