Good news is coming to the Beckley and Raleigh County area... In the form of new restaurants and business'.

"I think a lot more people are going to start coming here, for sure," said Amanda Keenan Fayette County.

Dickies barbeque also opened in the last month I believe along with five guys hamburgers. All of those are on Eisenhower. Those two are on Eisenhower the other two are on Byrd drive near the Raleigh mall. Those tend to leverage another. Panera bread is going to be here in the spring along with three other non-food units besides sheetz also on Eisenhower drive," said Bob Cannon Chief of Beckley and Raleigh County Code Enforcement Department.

These should be opening very soon, and the weather, if it continues to stay warm and pleasant, should be on their side.

"It's going pretty good, the weathers been nice. We've had some good days. The snow we had the other day hurt us a little bit but we are back on track. Everything's looking good," said Job Site Supervisor Wade McWilliams.

One restaurant owner closed down his business in Wytheville Virginia and chose Beckley as the new location for Ocean Bay.

"Beckley is great, its' the right size population, and we are the only seafood restaurant around. This is a perfect location."

People are really excited for what's to come.

"I'm really excited for panera bread to come and buffalo wild wings."
