Do YOU Believe In Doom's Day? Some Do!

LEWISBURG -

Dooms Day 2012, Dec. 21, the day the Mayans apparently predicted the world to end.

Do you believe?

Some people are making light of the situation saying they're going to party that night or max out their credit cards.

But others are seriously preparing.

In Charleston this week, preppers flocked to a survival store to gather items for doomsday 2012.

But the store owner said, they might be headed our way!

Bob Keller said, "I have a customer that thinks we should all move to Greenbrier County because there's 1,000 caves in Greenbrier County."

Roy Walker said, "No, I don't [think they're crazy], they haven't been wrong so far."

One cave owner in Greenbrier County isn't so convinced.

Lost World Caverns owner Steve Silverberg said, "The latest understanding of what the Mayan prophecy actually say is that the world as we know it will change but it has nothing to do with the end of the world in any way, if it is the end of the world this will be a good place to be."

Some people are predicting that the world will end Dec. 21 at noon. And Lost World Caverns officials said 'hey come on out we're open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.'"

Here's what some of you posted on our Facebook page about it.

Everything from the Mayans got tired of planning, to no one but God knows when the end is here.

And here's some good ones, Brenda Ramey said, "I believe I am going to find the nearest End of the World party and have a blast."

Robert Kelly said, "Yes, I am maxing out my credit card and buying everything I can whether I can afford it or not! THOSE SUCKERS WILL NEVER GET THEIR MONEY BACK!"

Others are still convinced that hiding out will save them on the 21st.

Walker said, "Find a big cave and get in it or something."
