SNOWSHOE (AP) — Snowshoe Mountain Resort is offering a free day of skiing Dec. 8 for West Virginia residents.
A proof of residence is required. The resort will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Snowshoe had 16 groomed trails and five lifts open Thursday with a snow base of 12 to 30 inches.
Snowshoe opened early this year after Superstorm Sandy dropped nearly 28 inches of snow at the Pocahontas County resort.
