Pearl Harbor Remembered in West Virginia

RALEIGH COUNTY -

Today marks the 71st anniversary of Pearl Harbor. Those who commemorate the day wish more people of the younger generation wouldn't take for granted the freedoms that they say, aren't free.

'They need to take time to appreciate their grandfathers their fathers and their mothers and all that's passed along to them because simply put freedom isn't something to be taken for granted. It was fought for by our ancestors and that's why we are one of the greatest countries on earth," said a Beckley man.

You can see a piece of the U-S-S West Virginia on display at the Veterans museum in Beckley.
