Lewisburg to host first public meeting on W.Va. Rail Plan

Eight public meetings are scheduled throughout West Virginia to discuss the state rail plan.

The West Virginia Department of Transportation has scheduled the first meeting for Monday, Dec. 10 in Lewisburg on the State Rail Authority plan.

The meeting will be held at the West Virginia Division of Highways, District Nine Headquarters on Stonehouse Road.

Meeting participants will be able to learn about the plan, ask questions and express their opinions.

Each meeting will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will provide an opportunity to express comments in a workshop-style setting.

The second meeting will take place Tuesday in Huntington.
