A Fayette County man is behind bars after Beckley Police say he admitted to raping a woman in a mental hospital. Michael Settle of Lochgelly was arrested and taken to Southern Regional Jail around 10 p.m.

The Tazewell County Sheriff's Office held their annual award ceremony over the weekend. The ceremony celebrates those who go above and beyond the call of duty.
According to its Facebook page the following were the big winners from the weekend ceremony:
Kathy Seabolt - Employee of the Year
Randy Ann Davis - Dispatcher of the Year
James Crigger - Deputy of the Year
Jeshua Harder - Rookie of the Year
Other awards given out included: Lifesaving Award, Good Conduct, Distinguished Service.
