Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20. A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County. The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.

Authorities at the Beckley Correctional Facility are searching for a missing inmate. Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards say he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count.

A candlelight vigil that was planned for Steven Lawrence who went missing over the weekend lead to a horrific discovery on Tuesday, Dec. 11.
Sheriff's Deputies tell 59News that a group that was looking for a parking spot at the service found a body in the ditch along Coal River Road. Even worse, investigators believe that the body that was discovered may be Steven Lawrence. Deputies told 59News there is evidence to back up the conclusion, but they are waiting for confirmation from the medical examiner's office before they make a positive identification.
Officials are asking anyone with information on the body to contact the Wyoming County Sheriff's Department.
