The Planetarium at West Virginia Wesleyan College will host a Sky Show at 8 p.m. Dec. 15 at Christopher Hall on the Buckhannon campus.

It features the viewing of "Einstein's Messengers." This video documents the unfolding story of LIGO, the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-wave Observatory, as it searches for the ripples of space-time called gravitational waves. Albert Einstein first predicted these waves in his theory of relativity, but for years their effects were regarded as too small to measure.

Shows are generally offered which the first and third Saturdays of each month at 8 p.m. and last approximately one hour. Telescope observing follows each show. Each show includes a tour of the evening sky, and free sky charts are available.

Admission is $3 for adults, $2 for students and seniors. When accompanied by an adult, children younger than 18 are admitted at no charge. No reservations are required, but seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
