Candlelight vigil planned for victims of Conn. school massacre

    Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train accident on Monday, May 20.  A person was apparently hit by a CSX train in a remote part of Fayette County.  The call came in at around 1:30 p.m.
    The victim was apparently covering her head with a blanket to shelter from the heavy rain storms.
LEWISBURG -

Residents of Greenbrier County will have a chance to mourn and remember the victims of the deadly shooting in Connecticut on Friday, Dec. 14.

The West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Greenbrier County plans to hold a candle-light vigil at the parade gound at the Lewisburg campus on Tuesday, Dec. 18.  All residents of Greenbrier County are invited to the campus for the remembrance ceremony at 6 p.m.

At least 500 people are expected to come out to this event. There will be two choirs that will be singing at the event along with various other speakers from the community.

Candles will be available for sale at the vigil for a small donation. All proceeds will be donated to the victims' families.
