The sudden and abrupt announcement Raleigh General Hospital has put a stop to cardiac stent surgery has been causing a lot of concern within the community.

Information that Welch Community
Hospital, which is a state run
hospital, was ordered to take down all Christmas and holiday decorations are
not true.
59News contacted administrators at the hospital on Tuesday, Dec
18. They said that there was routine state survey being conducted
this week. The survey is made every three years and offers suggestions to
improve the hospital.
Welch Community Hospital falls under the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Services.
Again, administrators said while there is a survey making recommendations, there has been no order to take down the decorations at the hospital.
