Local auto body shops are seeing a rush for people looking to winterize their vehicles.

Mechanics at Southern Wheels are keeping busy today in Beaver. Experts say make sure you check your vehicle's fluids and have enough traction to stop.

"We're probably going to have a base of ice underneath this snow that we're suppose to get. That's going to be the most important thing, the best way to prevent an accident, good snow tires, or even studded tires. Studded tires are the best in an icy situation," said Mechanic Bill Benamann.

Experts say don't forget to check your wiper blades as well. And always have an emergency kit with a blanket, food, and other items incase you get stranded.
