Folks in Quinwood sure are enjoying the winter storm that rolled through just days before the big holiday.

In Quinwood several people were out riding their ATV's in all the fresh snow.

But for others Friday night's storm meant a big change in plans for Christmas on Tuesday.

Uphene DePriest said, "I was going to go to D.C. but this put a halt on my Christmas vacation. I'm going to stay home and visit with my neighbors and senior friends."

For anyone traveling, the roads became snow covered and slick within minutes.

But crews were still out Saturday clearing what they could.

Most people said they were pleased with the clean-up effort by road crews.

David Goldman said, "They're reasonable. Looks like the state road crew has been doing their job they've been salting, they do a good job in West Virginia."

And also pleased with mother nature's Christmas gift.
