Bluefield State College and the city of Bluefield are collaborating on revitalizing the downtown.
The college and the city have created a task force to work together on economic development and revitalization projects.
Bluefield economic development director Greg Shrewsbury tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraph that college classes in the downtown is one idea that's been discussed.
Bluefield State President Marsha Krotseng says the college's students are key to the revitalization effort. They can help enhance the quality of life and encourage others to live in Bluefield.
