Some of those who Work on Christmas Eve say It's Worth It

RALEIGH COUNTY -

While most of you are enjoying hot cocoa by the fire surrounded by family and close friends, some are still keeping their day jobs.

For Bernie Belcher, the bell ringer for Salvation Army outside of Crossroads Mall, today is just another day, and he's okay with that.

"Yeah its Christmas Eve and I'm doing this myself. I'm doing it to help the kids and all the people that don't have houses and stuff like that. I'm doing it to help out the Salvation Army as best I could" said Belcher.

He says he doesn't mind working on the holidays because he knows the good he's doing for his community.

Other people having their holidays on the job are 911 dispatchers, firefighters, toll booth operators and convenience store cashiers. If you see them out today and tomorrow, but sure thank them.
