A family in the community of Dunns that was using a coal stove for heat had a scare on Thursday, Dec. 27.
Firefighters were called to the home when a spark jumped from the fire in their coal stove and started a blaze. It happened in the morning hours on Thursday and firefighters were called to the residence twice.
The fire burned through a water line which actually put the fire out. That lead to some minor damage.
