Weekend Holiday Travelers don't have an Issue with Snow

RALEIGH COUNTY -

People were out and about today traveling home from their Christmas holiday or traveling somewhere for their upcoming New Years Eve celebrations.

The past few days of snow, ice, and rain have made for some difficult travel plans, but people today said they were very pleased the weather was finally cooperating today. 59 News stopped at the Beckley Travel Plaza to hear what they had to say.

"I'm coming down from Pittsburgh, roads aren't that bad, they're wet but plows have been out all week so it's not that big of a deal coming down from Pittsburgh to Charlotte," said Jason Davis from Huntersville, North Carolina.

"The roads are actually pretty cleared off for it to be this time of the year, normally when we come through here it's about the same, but definitely better this year." said Steven Sparks of South Shore, Kentucky.

"It's really not that bad out there whatsoever. The roads are very clear, no ice anymore, it's not bad anywhere we've been so far," said Logan Peachock from Ohio.
