RAINELLE -

The town of Rainelle is celebrating their 100th birthday this year and they need your help!

Mayor Andrea Pendleton said they are asking anyone and everyone to come to their first celebration planning meeting on Jan. 8 to voice your ideas and provide any help that you can with the planning process.

She said they need everything from banners, a birthday cake, entertainment ideas and people to coordinate all the activities.

Pendleton said, "We're asking everyone to come together as clubs, churches, volunteers, businesses. Not only carrying out those three days of the anniversary but throughout the summer. We're hoping that the businesses will participate."

The first meeting for the Rainelle Celebration Committee will be Tuesday, Jan. 8 at 7 p.m. at Rainelle Town Hall.

The main celebration will be held April 25, 26, and 27.
