OAK HILL -

A release from the Fayette County Sheriff's Office announced on Friday, Jan. 4 that the medical office of Dr. Oscar Gosien will be closed until further notice.  The office is located at 94 Lamplighter Road in Oak Hill.

59News reported on Dec. 14 that Gosien was arrested on a drug trafficking charge.  Investigators said at that time that the 73-year-old is accused of writing prescriptions in exchange for sexual favors.

In light of the closure at Dr. Gosien's office, patients who are suffering from a medical emergency are being told to go to the emergency room instead.

Those patients who want to pick up their medical records are invited to do so on the following dates: Jan. 8-10 and Jan. 15-17.  The hours the records can be picked up are from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
