RALEIGH COUNTY -

A newly popular social media tool is causing some controversy. Snapchat is making waves for its possible inappropriateness.

59 News spoke with high school students from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina who were out on a snowboarding trip. They explain what is and what they use it for.

"It's so cool you can send a picture and it determines how long people can see it. And then it erases. I mean that helps people out a lot. I mean I love it," said Shaq Belfieod of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

"I think it should have an age limit because there are some people that might use it inappropriately, but that would be with anything," Scott Morris said.

"If we were going skiing I would send a picture of me, something like that," said Michael Brown.
