Pre-school aged children are the focus of a special program in Beckley on Tuesday, Jan. 8.

The "Snuggle and Read" event is taking place from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Beckley Elementary school.  The kids will be read to by community volunteers then given a book and a blanket for their participation.

The program is sponsored by the Read Aloud initiative which exists to help  promote literacy and a love of reading to all students as the enter the public school system.
