A new study links sweetened drinks, especially diet soda, to depression.

Researchers for the National Institutes of Health looked at about 270,000 people.

Those who drank more than four cups of soda a day were 30 percent more likely to develop depression.

Scientists say coffee seems to have the opposite of effect.
