A community that watches out for its neighbors leads to an arrest in a burglary case.
A call to 911 in Fayette County reported a suspicious man broke into a home on Kilsythe Road at around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8. The caller informed dispatchers that the homeowner was out of town.
Sheriff's deputies who arrived at the home found Kenneth Jesse James, 52, of Mount Hope inside. James was arrested with the help of a police dog.
"Our K-9 Teams are an extremely valuable asset to our Law Enforcement community," said Sheriff Steve Kessler. "In this particular case, the K-9 Unit's apprehension dog was able to subdue and restrain the burglary suspect so that the Deputy Sheriff could safely place him in custody without further incident."
James was charged with felony burglary. He was taken to the Southern Regional Jail where he is waiting to be arraigned.
