Police seeking suspect in Logan man's death

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -

Logan police are seeking a suspect in the death of an elderly man at his home.

Media outlets report relatives found the body of 88-year-old Grover Ray Morrison on Tuesday.

Logan Police Chief E.K. Harper called it a homicide but declined to say how Morrison died. Harper says the former longtime bank executive in Logan lived alone and his car was found Wednesday in Man.

Harper says a murder warrant has been filed for the arrest of 37-year-old John Edward Dempsey of Man. Investigators believe Dempsey and Morrison knew each other. Police consider Dempsey armed and dangerous and believe he still could be in the area.
