    Authorities at the Beckley Correctional Facility are searching for a missing inmate. Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards say he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count.
    A press release from the West Virginia Division of Corrections indicates that, as of Wednesday afternoon, Joshua Greenwood has been captured.

One man is dead after an officer involved shooting.

59 news has learned that a Mercer County Sheriff's deputy was involved in a shooting in the Montcalm area around 9 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12.

Deputy Coulter says the call originated with a complaint of a man destroying a residence with a chainsaw.

Shots were fired shortly after deputies arrived on scene.

The case is being investigated by West Virginia State Police with the Princeton detachment.
