The sudden and abrupt announcement Raleigh General Hospital has put a stop to cardiac stent surgery has been causing a lot of concern within the community.

One area in Greenbrier County that is prone to flooding is along the Greenbrier river, is the town of Alderson.
59 News checked in with the fire department there to see what types of preparations they were making Wednesday.
They told us the level of the river did not have them worried, but they said this rain did have them paying more attention.
Firefighter Matthew Butler said, "This is the highest it's been in several months right now I don't think we've got any threats of any flooding in this town... several of the smaller creeks are still up though."
Butler said the fire department will continue to keep an eye on all water in the town to make sure it stays at a safe level over the next few days.
