Lisa M. Hawrot and Ronald M. Musser have joined Spilman Thomas & Battle's Wheeling office as counsel. Hawrot has represented parties in West Virginia and Ohio in all aspects of complex family law for more than 15 years. Last year, she successfully argued an adoption matter before the West Virginia Supreme Court. Hawrot also has experience in real estate, including surface and mineral title examinations, and general litigation matters. She is a graduate of Washington & Jefferson College and Ohio Northern University Claude W. Pettit College of Law. Musser has practiced for more than 30 years in general corporate law and commercial finance, wills, estates and trusts, and real estate. He also has a diverse background in municipal law, including land use and zoning, taxation and revenue matters, and public employee personnel issues. Musser earned his bachelor's degree from the U.S. Military Academy and his law degree from West Virginia University College of Law.
