Authorities at the Beckley Correctional Facility are searching for a missing inmate. Joshua Greenwood was reported missing late Monday night. Guards say he was unaccounted for in a 10:15 p.m. head count.
A press release from the West Virginia Division of Corrections indicates that, as of Wednesday afternoon, Joshua Greenwood has been captured.

The snow is falling across southern West Virginia, creating some very slick conditions on the roadways.

Dispatchers with Tazewell County Emergency services tell 59News roads are extremely treacherous.    Crews are working to clear the roadways but there are several roads that have not been treated so far.

You are urged to stay inside if possible.  If you don't need to be on the roads, stay home!

If you can't stay in, West Virginia State Troopers say many accidents can be avoided if you drive cautiously and simply pay attention.

They also offer these tips:

  • Allow a safe distance between you and the vehicle in front of you.
  • Allow plenty of time to get to your destination.
  • Pack a survival kit.  The kit should include a blanket, water, radio, cell phone, hand warmers and glow sticks.
  • And remember star 77 or STAR SP, on any cell phone those numbers will connect you directly to the state police.
