Ever since 59 News aired this story on Wednesday about Judith Sorrell, the Fayette County grandmother living without heat, the newsroom has been flooded with phone calls. Phone calls from Greenbrier, to Raleigh, Mercer County-- all over-- have been coming in all wanting to help this woman out.
Folks from all over our region offered to open up their wallets and pay for the draft motor she needs to fix her furnace. Before our crews could start an account to collect the funds--- Childers Enterprises called the 59 newsroom with even more good news!
A company named Ferguson Enterprises, who owns Lyon Conklin in Beaver has offered to donate the part free of charge! Childers Enterprises will install the part on Monday, no charge.
We called Judith's daughter Rose with the good news, "oh my gosh! This is great news!I just can't believe it. I am truly grateful for what you have done. It has taken such a huge burden off me and my brother," Rose, Sorrell's daughter said.
59 News will have a crew along when the part is installed.
