New businesses coming to Greenbrier County

LEWISBURG -

New businesses are popping up left and right in the Lewisburg area. In a small town like Lewisburg, new businesses are big news. And the suspense of finding out what the giant pile of wood on Route 219 is going to be is killing folks in town. But they're just happy to see something new.

Ralph Campbell said, "I think it's great to see some growth. I'm kind of curious to hear about the one's coming in by Taco Bell, the building kind of looks like a Panera which I would like, but you cant tell for sure."

59 News can say for sure that one thing coming to town is a Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt shop. They opened one last year in Beckley and should be moving in as soon as the lot is ready. The building looks far from done but the owner said they should be completely finished and open for business by the beginning of April.  As for the remaining 3,000 square feet of open space, the owner said we only have to wait about two more weeks to find out who else is leasing the building.

At the Greenbrier Valley Mall, a new sports bar is planning to open soon. The owner of Dib's sports bar is just waiting on a gas line agreement with neighboring Kmart and then they're opening the doors.

Kimberly Trent said, "It's exciting. I hear there is a new movie theater coming in too so it's very exciting."

And she's right, construction will begin soon on a brand new movie theater behind Lowe's on Route 219.
