Greenbrier County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a tragic accident near Lewisburg on Sunday, Jan. 27.

According to Sheriff Jan Cahill, deputies were called to a farm on North Benedict Lane near the Greenbrier Valley Airport at around 5 p.m.  That is where they discovered that Kenneth Keesee, 67, of Smoot had been killed.

Keesee was apparently pinned between the bed and the frame of a dump truck that he was the owner/operator of.  Investigators are still trying to determine what happened that caused the bed of the truck to lower on Keesee while he was underneath it.

Since the accident involves a commercial vehicle, the West Virginia Public Service Commission will be involved in the investigation which is still ongoing.
