ECCLES -

An early morning blaze keeps firefighters busy for hours.

Emergency crews responded to the fire on Allen Town Rd. in Eccles around 1 a.m. Wednesday.     

Crews who responded tell 59News one abandoned house and a trailer on the same lot were destroyed by the flames.  The siding on a nearby house was melted.

Firefighters from four volunteer departments were on the scene for more than 3 hours.  They also responded to the scene again just after 7 a.m when the fire rekindled.

Everyone in the homes were able to make it out safely.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the West Virginia State Fire Marshal's Office.
