Fayette County Sheriff's Deputies are looking for the man who broke into a home in Scarbro on Wednesday, Jan. 30.

Investigators said that the attempted robbery happened on Blue Jay Road.  A white man who was wearing a hooded sweatshirt and a blue bandana broke into and demanded money from the person who lived there. The victim refused, which lead the suspect to fire a handgun round at the floor.  Investigators said he was trying to intimidate the suspect. Apparently, it did not work since the victim continued to deny the suspect's demand. Deputies said the suspect ran off without getting anything from the victims.

No one was injured. Anyone with information on the crime is asked to contact the Fayette County Sheriff's Department at 304-574-4216, or can leave an anonymous tip at http://www.FayetteSheriffWV.Net/. You may also contact them via their Facebook page at "Fayette County Sheriff's Department".
