Three Nicholas County residents were sentenced Monday to federal prison for their parts in a meth conspiracy.

Felicia Bess, Roy Spinks and Bratten Smith were sentenced to three, six and two years in prison respectively.  Spinks admitted to authorities he cooked meth using the "shake and bake" method between September 2010 until June 2011 in Nicholas County.

"Shake and bake" refers to a quicker form of making meth, often combining chemicals in a small bottle and shaking them to cause a reaction.
