Concord Football Signs 20 for 2013

Twenty student-athletes signed National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and football careers at Concord University in 2013, Head Coach Garin Justice announced Wednesday.

"I think it's very important we thank the kids' families who put their trust in us as coaches," Justice said. "This class fills a lot of needs. "It was nice to get players who are great character guys. Very few negative words were said about these players from their coaches."

The Mountain Lions' initial 20-man reuniting class for 2013 consists of five offensive lineman, three linebackers, two defensive lineman, two cornerbacks, two tight ends, two running backs, two wide receivers, one fullback and one quarterback.

Geographically, the class is made up of six players from both West Virginia and North Carolina, three from Virginia, two from Maryland and one player each from Florida, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

Justice said in a press conference Wednesday that he expects to add around five more players throughout the spring.
