A Tazewell County woman faces charges for possessing synthetic marijuana.

Jennifer Ann Sullivan, a former SwiftMart clerk, was arrested Tuesday by agents from the Tazewell County Narcotics Task Force.  Deputies said Sullivan played a part in the distribution of more than $35,000 worth of the drug in July 2012.  Tazewell County deputies said she turned herself in with her attorney.  Sullivan was charged with possession with intent to distribute the synthetic marijuana and released on a $2,500 unsecured bond.

This is just the first in a string of arrests involved in this case, according to Tazewell County Narcotics Task Force agents.  Agents said they are following up on more leads as they continue the investigation.
