RALEIGH COUNTY -
After a string of break-ins in Raleigh County, 3 arrests have been made.
11 homes were broken into since December in the Shady Spring area. Gold jewelry was the target of the crimes. And deputies say in almost all cases, the criminals used crowbars to break in.
A woman says after someone stole $300 worth of valuables, her sense of security was taken as well.
"I came in and thought, cold air? And the door is standing open. I thought, is the cat still here? She didn't go out. Is the TV here? The laptop? Is anybody in my house? It was very scary," said homeowner Paula Whalley.
The three people arrested were from Mercer County.
