Federal prosecutors say two West Virginia men have been indicted on charges that they allegedly delivered heroin that caused the death of another man.

U.S. Attorney William Ihlenfeld announced the charges against Curtis Adams and Justin Withers of Wellsburg on Monday.

Officials say the 28-year-olds were indicted by a federal grand jury for distribution of heroin and other charges.

Prosecutors say the pair allegedly traveled to Steubenville, Ohio, to acquire the heroin and then back to Brooke County to distribute the drug to the victim who died in March 2011.

Both face up to life in prison on the distribution charge. They are scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.

Attorneys for both men did not immediately return telephone messages seeking comment.
