WHITE OAK -
Firefighters from three departments were called to the scene of a blaze in White Oak at 11:20 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
Ghent, Coal City and Beaver Volunteer Fire Departments all helped to put out the fire which started in a garage. There was no one home, but the flames did melt some of the siding on the house.
Crews had to close down Route 3 at 11:43 a.m. as they worked to get the flames out. One lane was reopened at 12:54 p.m.
Chief Jim Belcher told 59News that they were still trying to find out what started the fire.
