At a press conference in Tazewell County on Thursday, Feb. 14, Commonwealth Attorney Dennis Lee announced the arrest of Christopher Looney for the murder of his parents, Harvey and Valerie Looney.  The crime happened at the Pizza Plus in Claypool Hill back on March, 30 2009.

Christopher Looney is being held in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail.  Lee said this is Capital crime and that Looney could get the death penalty.

On March 30th of 2009 Harvey Looney and his wife Valerie were found dead behind Pizza Plus in Claypool Hill.

The pair was closing up for the night when investigators say they were murdered.

No arrests have been made to date.

Sheriff's deputies are holding a press conference on the nearly four year old investigation at 10 Thursday morning.

In a release sent out at 6 A.M. Thursday, deputies would not elaborate on what they call "important developments"
