    While many are safely celebrating Labor Day, State Troopers want to caution everyone about the dangers of drinking and driving.The West Virginia Department of Transportation says over the last 5 years in the Mountain State, almost 800 people have been killed in a drink driving crash just during Labor Day Weekend. UPDATE:

An inmate who walked away from the Beckley Correctional Center turned herself today.

Amanda Renee Taylor, 36, was taken into custody when she turned herself into the facility.

 


 

Law enforcement officers in Raleigh County are asking the community for assistance to bring in an inmate who is missing from the Beckley Correctional Center.

Amanda Renee Taylor,36, was allowed to go on a two-hour shopping trip but never returned to the facility.  She was in jail on charges of operating or intending to operate clandestine laboratories and felony fraud with an access device.  The charges are from out of Kanawha County.

Taylor is white woman who it 5-feet 5-inches tall and 175 pounds.  She has brown hair and brown eyes.  She has the following tattoos: 

  • "TLW" in a star on Right Back Upper Arm.  "
  • *ISSUES*" ON Right Wrist.  "13 1/3" on Right Hand TOP. 
  • "GALEAH" on Left Back Forearm. 
  • HEART, AND "LOVE" Left Front Lower Leg. 
  • TIGER on Right Front Upper Leg. 
  • PRAYING HANDS, CROSS, "JENNY", AND "PATTY" on Left Front Forearm. 
  • HEART AND "3-8-1" on back torso. 
  • DOVE AND "SML" on back neck.

Anyone with information on Taylor's location is asked to call their local law enforcement.
