Dan Thorn joined WVNS-TV in February 2013 as a Weekend Anchor and Reporter.
He is a New York native but excited to be reporting in the Mountain State.
Dan graduated from Brooklyn College in New York City with a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
While attending college he interned at top New York City television stations such as WABC-TV, WCBS-TV and New York's 24-hour cable news channel NY1 News.
Before moving to New York City, Dan interned with an Upstate New York TV station Cable 6 News where he worked as a production assistant and general assignment reporter. Getting to report live on Election Night 2008 as a 19-year-old reporter is one of his most treasured experiences.
When Dan isn't reporting or anchoring for 59News he likes to hit the gym or go for run. He also enjoys rooting for his native sports teams the New York Yankees, New York Jets, New York Rangers and Brooklyn Nets.
