The McDowell County Grand Jury met for their February 2013 session and the indictments were issued on Friday, Feb.22.

Among 62 cases that were on the list of indictments more than 50-percent were related to some kind of theft.  Those ranged from Breaking and Entering to Embezzlement and Forgery.

There were eight indictments that were directly drug related.  One of those included the raid of a meth lab back on Tuesday, Jan. 8.  McDowell County Sheriff's Deputies teamed up with the drug task force to execute a warrant at the suspect meth lab in War.  They arrested 20-year-old Greer Orell.  He is being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.

There were also three indictments on charges of child neglect causing serious bodily injury.  One indictment on the list was for sex abuse by a parent.

Rebecca Lynn Hatcher and Earl Click were indicted on charges of First Degree Murder and Felony Conspiracy.  The two are accused of killing War mayor Tom Hatcher on July 17, 2012.  Rebecca Hatcher is the daughter-in-law of the victim.  Earl Click is Rebecca Hatcher's brother.  Investigators said that more than $1,000 was taken from the home.
