According to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, a rock slide has closed a portion of KY 757, also known as Old US 23, in Boyd County.

The closure is just north of US 23 between Calgon Carbon's Big Sandy Plant and Campbell's Branch.

The crews from Kentucky Department of Highways are working to clear the road, but the road will likely remain closed through tonight and into Thursday morning.

They are asking drivers to watch for message boards that will direct traffic.
