The unofficial results of the Greenbrier County fire levy show that it did not pass Saturday.
There were around 1,140 votes for the levy and about 2,470 against it.
The cost of the levy was estimated to be about 50 dollars a year per household and would have covered things like training, buying new equipment and making insurance payments.
