GREENBRIER COUNTY -

Snow made it difficult for firefighters when flames ripped through a Greenbrier County home earlier today.

The fire happened Wednesday morning in Ronceverte. No one was in the house so no one was injured. The house is a total loss.

"As you can see being on the hill is quite challenging, and then the snow on top of that makes it difficult to get to. It caused several safety aspects we had to take into consideration," said Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Chief Casey Morgan.

The Ronceverte Volunteer Fire Department is investigating the cause of the fire.
