59 News was there Thursday as coal miners were heading back to work.

We wanted to know what people thought about it's re-opening. The Chief of the Sophia City Fire Department said he thinks it's good for the community.

"It's good for the community, it's been down for a couple of weeks, we are hoping that the mining industry picks up and that'll do good for the area. We want to see it prosper," said Sophia City Fire Chief Jeff Pittman.

The on-sight investigation into the cause of the miner deaths is finished.
