CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -

Miki Glenn capped her domination of the Class AA tournament with 22 points and Bridgeport beat defending champion Westside 44-27 for its first girls title Saturday.

Second-seeded Bridgeport (25-2) got that elusive championship after losing to Greenbrier East in Class AAA a year ago.

Glenn averaged nearly 32 points in the three games. She set tournament records for free throws made, attempted and free-throw percentage.

Top-seeded Westside (25-2) shot just 20 percent from the floor and was held to its lowest point total of the season.  The 27 points were one shy of the lowest scored in a Class AA championship game.

Hope Lester led Westside (25-2) with 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Westside and Bridgeport were 1-2 all season in The Associated Press Class AA poll.
