LEWISBURG -

The Carnegie Hall Film Series kicked off Monday night in Lewisburg.
The first film is an academy award winning foreign film.
"Amour," which won the Oscar for best foreign film this year was shown March 11 as the first film of the series.
Carnegie Hall is putting on the entire series of screenings over the next few months and directors there said they strive for unique films.
Lynn Creamer said, "There aren't that many foreign films shown in our region so for the film series we try to bring foreign films, art films, films that you aren't going to see at the multiplex." The film series will continue in April on the second Monday of the month.
